Making a decent living is certainly on our radar as a business, yet our definition of success absolutely includes something else – making a meaningful difference in people’s lives.
In life and business, we’re constantly challenged to ask ourselves what it can look like to live a life that gives to others, and what it can look like to be a business that takes a stand for important local causes. Therfore from time to time on this website we’ll let you some things we are doing to better the community and who we are partnering with to bring positive change. You are invited to join us too!!!
Lundquist Appraisal Company proudly supports Project 680, a local grassroots volunteer team effort to advocate for local homeless students in the Folsom Cordova Unified School District. Ryan Lundquist founded this organization in 2008 with a few neighbors, and it has been amazing to see local residents, businesses, churches and organizations go to bat for local kids who are struggling with unstable living situations. Project 680 thus far has undertaken a sock drive, underwear drive, a community bike ride, and a shoe drive. There are big plans for the future too, so we are very excited to be a part of the action.
Check out a recent KCRA News story on Project 680.
This isn’t about bragging or tooting our own horn, but rather sharing life and vision, as well as an invitation for others to join forces with us. In fact, if you are involved in something locally that is making a difference in people’s lives, we’d really love to hear about it. Please email us and share your story.
Our economy may be sour right now, but compassion is not dead, and there is still joy to be found in life.
